Volunteers who join our team get to be a part of a fast-growing and exciting charity, with fresh ideas about how to make a difference in the world. Oaktree UK’s structure means that everyone involved is a young volunteer. Participation is more intense than in other charities, and the rewards, in terms of experience and responsibility, are higher.
A volunteer at Oaktree doesn't just run a once a year coin collection: they run the organisation.
At Oaktree we want to see young people use their skills and talents to form supportive partnerships with developing communities to empower young people through education.
As an entirely volunteer-run organisation, all of Oaktree's fundraising and advocacy work, as well as the day-to-day running of the organisation, is driven by young people all under the age of 26.
Volunteers use their skills in areas such as marketing and design, legal and finance work and event organisation, or as young entrepreneurs committed to developing Oaktree's corporate strategy.
